The Story So Far...
Sunday, 3rd March, 2020. Reflex Theatre is born.
Our co-founders Callan and Megan are inspired to develop a way of working which frees performers of creative restrictions, to become more responsive in their work and to truly achieve the goal of making it “different every night”.

Then the Covid-19 Pandemic hit and immediately the mission changed. We saw that there would be a regression in our society’s ability to connect and empathise, communities feeling isolated & forgotten, creative opportunities decimated and a lack of artistic engagement.

So we got to work making sure that as many people as possible could access the arts by creating opportunities and experiences that would inspire East Anglian communities to reconnect and generate positive social action.
Now in 2025, as we celebrate our 5th birthday, and as we have grown as artists and as a Reflex Family, our artistic vision has become clearer and our mission has evolved once again:

To build trust in communities
To spark honest conversations.
To inspire positive social action.

To create worlds where people can just be themselves... from the very first second.

Callan trained at Derby Theatre, National Youth Theatre and The Actors Class.

As well as being committed to making sure all of our work is community focused, she is also a fabulous artist, making her own personal designs as well as crafting a few for Reflex too.

Bert has been part of Reflex since the summer of 2021 and in that time he has promoted himself (quite literally) to the role of Office Manager.
